My name is Amanda (Mandy) Wynsma, I am the Director of the newest weekly mentoring program in Crown Point, IN. While growing up in Palos Heights, IL
I attended Calvary Academy in South Holland, and met my high school sweetheart, the son of the principal. I went to Evangel University in Springfield, MO graduating with a degree in early childhood education and administration.
We married in 1989 and had four children. I have taught preschool and kindergarten throughout the years along with raising my children. In 2000, I became the Children’s Ministry Director at Living Word Church in Lansing, IL. For 22 years I loved serving in that role.
During those years I also became a certified Postpartum Doula and volunteered at Saint Mary’s hospital, in Hobart, IN. In this position I helped young moms with everything from breast-feeding, infant care, family-sibling integration, postpartum blues & depression.
My passion is watching young moms succeed, thrive, and enjoy motherhood!
We currently live in Crown Point and have eight grandchildren. They are the joy of our lives! Some of my hobbies include boating, coffee, dates, and reading.
